How does a Case Report differentiate a dental practice from competitors using only basic software printouts?
By providing a custom, patient-specific narrative document that no software-printed itemized list can compete with on either professionalism or persuasive impact. Most dental practices give patients either nothing in writing or a software printout that lists procedure names and CDT codes alongside fees. The printout looks like a receipt. It carries no narrative, no photographs, no explanation, and no story about why the recommended treatment matters. It also makes price-shopping easy. A patient holding a list of procedures and codes can call competing practices and request quotes for the same code list. The Case Report cannot be price-shopped that way. It tells the patient’s specific story, illustrates findings with annotated photos, presents options in narrative form, and embodies the practice’s distinctive expertise. Competing practices that print software receipts look generic by comparison. The Case Report alone has been credited by many practices for dramatic lifts in case acceptance after adopting it. Production effort is real. Differentiation is substantial.
