How does a dental practice interrupt a complex-case patient’s pattern of delay?
By making the cost of continued delay visible at every interaction. Patients with complex problems default to doing nothing because nothing has actively hurt them yet. The same broken tooth or missing teeth pattern they saw last year is still there, and it has not killed them. Stasis feels safe. Marketing and case presentation have to interrupt that feeling. Amplify what the patient loses by waiting. Make the unknowns about treatment small (shock-and-awe packets with answers to every common question). Stay in contact long-term so the patient hears from you when their personal readiness shifts. The patient who walks away today is not gone. They are on a roller coaster, and the next dip might bring them back.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
