Why does presenting consultation, diagnosis, and fees in a single dental appointment hurt acceptance?

Because it stacks every barrier into one visit. The patient has no time to build a personal connection with the doctor before being asked to commit. There is no opportunity for trust to develop. The financial decider is almost certainly absent. The patient has no chance to process the information, talk with their spouse, or arrange financing. The visit produces stress: serious dentistry being discussed for the first time, with money on the table, all at once. The behavioral research is unambiguous. Compressed selling cycles produce worse outcomes than staged ones for high-value services. The dentist who tries to ‘save time’ by combining steps almost always loses the case they were trying to close faster.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
