Why should a dentist record their patient consultations while learning a new selling system?

Because verbal interactions cannot be evaluated from memory. The doctor leaves the consultation with a fuzzy sense of how it went. The actual words, sequence, missed steps, pauses, and patient reactions are gone. Recording the conversation, with patient consent and basic recording equipment or a smartphone, captures the data needed to evaluate honestly. Affordable transcription services convert the audio to text, which is even easier to scan for skipped steps, jargon usage, places where the patient signaled confusion, and places where the doctor talked past the patient. A weekly review of two or three consultation transcripts surfaces patterns the doctor would never catch otherwise. Skills improve rapidly because the feedback loop is tight and specific. Without recording, the doctor improves slowly or not at all, because they cannot tell what to fix. The audio file is the equivalent of game tape in athletics. Watch it. Adjust. Watch again.
