What should a post-consultation team debrief cover after each dental consultation?

Each patient’s pain motivator, unique needs, financial decision partners, behavioral observations, and any handling strategies the team should adopt going forward. The debrief is a short structured meeting, sometimes called a sales huddle or patient review, that pulls the team together immediately after the day’s consultations to align on each patient. In a small practice the whole team participates. In a large practice the relevant sales-trained members do. The meeting captures what the patient said motivated them, what their specific situation requires, who needs to be involved in the eventual decision, and any concerns or quirks that surfaced during the visit. Strategies are agreed on. Notes go into the chart. By the time the patient returns for the diagnostic visit, every team member who interacts with them has a current shared understanding. The experience feels coordinated and personal because it actually is. Practices that skip the debrief and rely on individual memory produce inconsistent follow-through and lose cases between visits.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
