How does the Case Report give patients something tangible for the CDP fee they have already paid?

By placing a substantive printed document in the patient’s hands at the case presentation that visibly represents the work the practice did for the diagnostic fee. Patients understand intellectually that the CDP fee covered an hour of doctor time, imaging, planning, and team work. Emotionally, they still want something tangible to show for the money. Without a deliverable, the fee feels like it disappeared into intangibles. The Case Report fills that need directly. The patient receives a multi-page, professionally produced document containing their photographs, their clinical findings, their treatment options, the practice’s promises, and signature lines. The fee acquired a real artifact. The artifact is also the most useful piece of information they could possibly receive about their dental situation. Both psychological needs are met at once: the tangible deliverable that the fee purchased, and the practical resource the patient can use to make and defend the treatment decision. The CDP fee feels worth it because it produced something real.
