Why are errands such a waste of time for a dental practice owner?

Because they are the lowest possible use of the most expensive person in the building. When you run errands for the business, you are spending owner-level time on a task you could pay someone $15 an hour to do. That is backwards economics. Your hour belongs on the things only you can do, seeing prospective patients, refining how the practice sells, working on the business itself. The one exception is if you are genuinely out observing how prospective patients behave in public, which is real research. Otherwise, hand it off. Napoleon could win back lost territory but never a lost second, and your consult hours are the same. Stop confusing being busy with being valuable. Delegate the errands and protect the hours that actually grow the practice.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
