Should I drop out of Delta Dental?

Only if you’re going to become a genuine student of marketing, otherwise stay put. I withdrew from every Delta plan in my own practice years ago and got a three page hate letter from their president for it. I’d do it again. But I won’t pretend it’s right for everyone. In some markets Delta owns 80 or 90 percent of the contracted dentists, and that patient flow is real. If you’re not prepared to replace those new patients yourself through your own marketing, dropping the plan will hurt you more than the plan does. Be honest about which dentist you are. If you can fill your own schedule, the freedom from contracted fees is worth a great deal. If you can’t, stay attached and use the workarounds for your big cases instead.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
