What are the real downsides of using a case report?

I will be honest, the cons list is longer than for the lazy options, and that scares some dentists off. You can no longer produce it with one click out of your insurance software, so it needs a system for production. It takes a little training and some technical skill to make, though nothing genuinely complicated. And the biggest one is managerial leadership: you, as the owner, have to decide that for cases over a certain size this is simply part of how we present, full stop, and then hold the practice to it. That is the real cost, your commitment, not the labor. But weigh it against the upside. The pros greatly outweigh these few cons. A bit of system building and a leadership decision is a small price for fixing your acceptance on your largest cases.
