Why should I treat my front desk as more than just a phone team?

Because the person on the phone touches three jobs at once, and pretending otherwise wastes the role. They’re the frontline phone team, obviously. But they’re also part of your advertising team, because they collect what made patients call and report it back so you can sharpen the message. And they’re part of your sales team, because in most offices they carry some of the follow-up that closes cases. One seat, three functions. When you box that person into “just answering phones,” you throw away the marketing intelligence and the case-saving follow-up they’re sitting on. Give them the standards, the questions to ask, and the time to be curious. A phone team that understands its full reach behaves completely differently than one taking messages. Build the role that big, not small.
