Why bother sending information packets to prospective dental patients who don’t book on the first call?

Because the marketing dollars that produced the inquiry call are still in play, and the inquirer is still a real prospect. Practices that treat every non-booking call as a dead lead waste an enormous fraction of their marketing budget. The patient may not be ready today. They may be in a research phase that runs weeks or months. They may have an unresolved obstacle the practice does not yet know about. They may also be calling competitors that day, and the practice that follows up with a substantial information packet becomes the one they keep thinking about. Sending the packet costs a few dollars relative to the cost-per-call of marketing, and converts a fraction of those non-bookers over time into eventual cases. Practices that do nothing with non-bookers get a yes or a permanent goodbye in the first thirty seconds. Practices that capture the contact and follow through with material recover the leakage and build long-term pipeline.
