How does the dental Case Report function as a long-term seed for future case acceptance?
By staying in the patient’s possession for years after a no answer, surfacing back into their attention whenever life circumstances shift toward treatment readiness. Few patients throw out a comprehensive document containing their own case photos, findings, and treatment options. The Case Report sits in a file drawer, a desk, or a stack of important papers. Months or years later, when the patient experiences worsening symptoms, has more financial room, or simply has time to reconsider, they come across the report and remember the practice. They re-read the findings, look at the photos, review the options, and often call back. The case that died on the case-presentation day re-emerges through the document’s continued physical presence in the patient’s life. Without the Case Report, the patient has nothing to remember the practice by. The marketing investment that produced the original inquiry call is gone. With the Case Report, every declined case carries a small probability of becoming an eventual case down the road.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
