What is a Big and Outrageous information packet and why does it outperform a standard brochure?
It is a substantial, deliberately overdone information package sent to prospective patients who have inquired about the practice’s services. Instead of a single tri-fold pamphlet or a downloadable PDF, the packet contains depth: the doctor’s biography and credentials, treatment-specific education on the procedures the practice specializes in, case examples with photographs where consent allows, written guidance on how the practice handles fees and financing, the office policies on time and appointments, patient testimonials, and any other material that demonstrates the practice’s expertise and approach. The packet is laid out cleanly and produced in quality print or digital form. The reaction it generates is a small but real “wow” or “OMG” moment that no competitor’s pamphlet can match. The patient absorbs the depth, draws conclusions about the practice’s seriousness, and arrives at the consultation pre-sold on the basics. Practices using these packets convert at substantially higher rates than practices relying on standard brochures alone.
