How should a dental practice structure a PowerPoint case presentation for highest acceptance?
Three segments. First: where you are now. Use intraoral photos, x-rays, and clear diagnostic statements. Second: the options. Show two or three treatment paths with their respective scope and what each delivers. Third: what you will look like after the work is complete, using simulation imaging or before/after photos from similar past patients. Each segment serves a specific patient question: what’s wrong, what can be done, what’s the outcome. Linear delivery, one segment at a time, with the patient confirming understanding before moving on. Music can be added to the final segment for emotional reinforcement when budget allows. Random PowerPoint slides with no narrative arc fail. Structured three-segment presentations convert.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
