How does a live testimonial from a previously-treated dental patient affect a prospective patient at the Q&A appointment?
By providing peer-level reassurance that the prospective patient cannot get from any practice-produced material, no matter how well produced. A printed testimonial is one thing. A live conversation with a real person who underwent the same treatment, in person or by phone, is something else entirely. The prospective patient asks their own questions, hears unscripted answers, and forms their own judgment from a peer rather than from the practice. The trust effect is substantial. Practices that have built a small pool of patients willing to provide live testimonials, secured at the original patient’s case presentation in exchange for an agreed reward or recognition, can arrange a live conversation at the Q&A appointment or shortly after. For practices without live testimonials available, professionally produced video testimonials offer a useful alternative, though they do not match live conversation for impact. The capability requires advance setup. Once in place, it converts wavering Q&A patients at rates other interventions cannot match.
