Should a mixed dental practice run separate meetings for routine and complex cases?

Yes. A mixed practice has two different operational worlds under one roof. The team handling routine hygiene, fillings, and crowns operates on volume and efficiency. The team handling complex cases (implants, full-arch reconstruction, sedation) operates on case acceptance, qualifying, and long-cycle followup. A single combined team meeting tries to serve both and serves neither well. The fix: meet separately for each side at appropriate cadences, then meet jointly monthly or bi-monthly for practice-wide alignment. The complex-case meeting focuses on prospective cases, followup status, marketing channels, and acceptance rates. The routine meeting focuses on schedule, hygiene retention, and production. Different conversations. Different rhythms.
