Can a dental practice claim painless dentistry in its marketing?

Not directly, in most jurisdictions. State boards typically prohibit a dentist from self-claiming ‘painless dentistry’ as a hundred-year regulatory holdover, even when the clinical methods make pain genuinely minimal. The workaround is third-party language. Patients can describe their experience as painless in testimonials. Reviewers can do it. Press coverage can do it. The dentist cannot say it about themselves. Build a testimonial collection process that captures these statements naturally and use the patient’s own words in marketing materials. The message reaches the prospect through a voice the board does not regulate, and the prospect trusts the patient’s word more than your own claim anyway.
