What are the most common phone mistakes that kill case acceptance?
Think of the first call as a bridge the patient has to cross to reach you, and that bridge has five slats. If any one of them is rotten, they fall through and call your competitor. The slats are connectivity and availability, message consistency, mood and feeling, the actual phone skills of the person answering, and the follow-through on the relationship. Most practices obsess over the marketing that makes the phone ring and then drop the patient on the very first slat by sending them to voicemail. I see six-figure marketing budgets feeding a phone that nobody picks up. Walk your own bridge. Call your practice as a stranger and notice which slat you would fall through. Fix the rotten one first, because no amount of new marketing fixes a phone that doesn’t get answered well.
