What should the post-CDP team meeting actually cover after a diagnostic visit?

The patient’s pain motivators including anything new that surfaced during the in-person visit, the patient’s dental IQ as observed during the exam conversation, the barriers to treatment each team member observed, and the delegation of specific preparation tasks for the upcoming treatment presentation. The meeting happens immediately after the CDP, either later the same day or first thing the next morning at the team’s regular morning huddle. The format is structured. Each team member who interacted with the patient contributes their observations. The doctor synthesizes the picture. Specific preparation tasks for the treatment presentation get assigned to named team members with deadlines. The case moves from individual memory into shared documented understanding. By the time the treatment presentation arrives a week or more later, every team member who interacts with the patient knows the case, the motivators, the barriers, and the plan. The post-CDP meeting is the operational hinge between the diagnostic visit and the case presentation.
