When and how should the dentist enter the case presentation room to begin their portion?

After the Patient Problems PowerPoint deck has finished playing for the patient and support person, with the room set up and the Problems-Solutions deck queued on the monitor. The assistant manages the transition. They confirm the patient and support person have absorbed the visual case, pause the music if needed, open the next deck, and bring in both the doctor and the financial coordinator together. The doctor’s entrance is announced rather than abrupt, which reduces the white-coat blood-pressure spike. The doctor greets the patient and support person warmly, references something specific from earlier conversations to signal personal continuity, and settles into the seated position opposite them. The financial coordinator takes their seat beside the doctor. The Rule of Two is now in place: two on each side of the desk. The room is balanced. The doctor begins the verbal portion of the case presentation with the Problems-Solutions deck. The structured entry produces a noticeably calmer opening than a doctor walking in mid-deck or before patients have settled.
