What is the easiest gift to give patients during a case consultation?

Food. It is cheap, almost nobody refuses it, and it folds into your process without any awkwardness. I have watched dentists overthink this and reach for branded mugs or pens that end up in a drawer. Skip all of that. A small, pleasant edible gift does the job because the point is not the item, it is the obligation the giving creates. Here is the part most people get wrong. Do not ask whether the patient wants a gift, because half of them will politely decline. Hand it over as a done deal. Thank you for coming in to see us today, I have a little something for you, would you like this flavor or this one? Now they have accepted, and you have built reciprocity into the room before the doctor walks in.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
