What is a complete dental physical and why use that term?

It is the visit where you sit down and look at everything going on in the patient’s mouth and use that information to build a solution. I call it a complete dental physical on purpose. The phrase tells the patient this is thorough and serious, the dental equivalent of a full physical at the doctor, not a quick peek and a quote. When I set it up I tell them exactly what happens. They come back, I gather everything, I spend about a week with that information working up options, then we meet again to review it all. That sequence sets expectations and prevents the surprises that kill case acceptance later. Patients relax when they know the path. Name the visit clearly and walk them through the timeline before they ever leave your office.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
