Why does confusion stop patients from accepting implant treatment?

Because confusion almost always converts into a no. When you hand a patient a list of foreign terms, procedure codes, and itemized prices, you are not educating them, you are overwhelming them. And our built-in response to confusion is to stall. We do not take action in a state we do not understand, so the patient defers, and a deferred big case usually dies. This is why the standard software printout works against you even though it feels thorough. Thorough and clear are not the same thing. A case report strips the technical clutter and lays the information out in a logical order a layperson can actually follow, connected to the problem that brought them in. Clarity is what frees a patient to decide. So measure your document by one test: can the patient understand it without you translating every line.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
