Why do so many patients hang up instead of leaving a voicemail at a dental office?
Because they have been trained by every other business they deal with to expect an instant answer, and your practice is not exempt from that. The surveys put it near 80 percent who hang up the moment they hit a voicemail, and that data is over a decade old now. People expect faster responses today than they did then. A new patient with an implant question is not going to chase you. They will call the next name on the list. So stop treating voicemail as a safety net. It is a leak. If a live, capable person does not pick up when a high-value caller dials, you paid for that lead and then handed it to the practice down the road. Answer live, or accept that your marketing is partly funding your competitors.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
