How can my team ask intake questions without sounding like a survey?

Teach them to sing. When a team member runs through a list of intake questions, the ones that are not relationship questions, they tend to fire them off like a survey. Short, curt, no breathing room, next, next, next. They do not mean to sound cold, but they do. Singing just means changing the voice and tone so it lands as conversation. The next question I want to ask you is what number can I reach you at, okay great, and your work number, perfect, and your cell, and your address. Same questions, completely different feel, because you are varying inflection and staying warm. It is a small thing that changes the whole texture of the call. The questions have to get asked either way. Sing them and the patient never feels processed.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
