Can I just use my call tracking system as a fancy voicemail?
You can, but it is a waste of real money. When you invest in tracking numbers and call recording, the whole point is a live human answering and a record you can coach from. Letting it dump callers into a voicemail box throws all of that away. A prospective patient calling about a large case does not want to leave a message and wait. They want a person. Treating your tracking line as a glorified answering machine is like buying a chairside scanner and using it as a paperweight. The tool can technically replay voicemails, sure. That is not why you bought it. Route calls to a live answer, capture the conversation, and use what you hear to train. If the only thing your expensive phone setup does is take messages, you have spent a lot to accomplish almost nothing.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
