Why isn’t being a skilled clinician enough to win big implant cases?
Because patients assume clinical skill the moment you have a license. To them, every dentist behind every door is competent, that is just what the credential means. If they have no experience with implants, they genuinely do not believe there is much difference between you and the next guy. So your surgical talent, the thing you spent years perfecting, barely registers as a selling point. Most dentists who come to me already have the clinical side handled and green. What they are missing is everything around it: the way the phone is answered, the flow of the visit, the leadership that makes a patient feel understood. The clinical work is the price of admission, not the differentiator. Stop assuming great hands will close the case, and start building the rings the patient actually feels.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
