How much team time does a complex dental case actually consume before the patient says yes?
Ten to fifteen hours, counting everything. Phone calls. Consultations. Diagnostics. Case presentation. Followup questions. Financial discussions. Multiply that by the loaded hourly cost of each team member involved (assistant, phone staff, office manager, doctor) and the number gets serious. With a 35 percent conversion, you are spending those hours twice for every yes. With a 10 percent conversion, you are spending them ten times for every yes. The math becomes brutal at low conversion rates. This is why qualifying matters. Every patient who exits the funnel early before consuming the full ten-to-fifteen-hour cycle preserves capacity for patients who can move forward.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
