When should a dental practice schedule case presentations for highest acceptance?
Mornings. Decision-making energy is finite, and it depletes through the day. Patients arriving for a case presentation in the afternoon have already made dozens of decisions at work, with kids, in traffic. Their willingness to take on a new significant decision is lower than it was at 9 AM. This is well-documented in behavioral research. Practical implication: schedule your most important case presentations early in the day. If you cannot schedule them in the morning, accept that the afternoon and evening slots are statistically lower-conversion. Some practices stop doing afternoon case presentations entirely for big cases. The acceptance rate alone justifies the schedule change.
