Why use a short educational video during a dental consultation instead of having staff explain procedures verbally?

Because the video delivers consistent, polished information every time, and the team member can then observe the patient’s reactions rather than performing the explanation themselves. The video covers the procedure or treatment the patient is interested in, in patient-friendly language with appropriate visuals, in a controlled and repeatable format. It does not skip points on a bad day. It does not get bored after the hundredth showing. The patient gets the same quality explanation as the patient before them and the one after. During or after the video, the team member sits with the patient and listens for offhand reactions: a comment like “that looks like exactly what I need” or “I am not sure I am ready for that.” Those reactions become data the doctor uses to shape the case presentation that follows. The video both teaches and reveals. Staff who used to deliver education verbally are freed to do the observational work instead.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
