Why use a written checklist for dental case presentation?
Because no one can hold this many details in their head. A real case presentation for a full-arch case has so many moving parts that memory alone will fail you, and the moment it fails is the moment you start improvising and drifting. A written checklist keeps you and your team from deviating too far from the process that actually works at these fees. It’s the same reason pilots and surgeons run checklists. The cost of forgetting one step is too high. I tell practices to take the whole team back through the checklist every couple of years, because new staff arrive, old habits creep in, and steps quietly fall off the plate. If your case presentation lives only in someone’s head, it’s already slipping. Put it on paper and follow it.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
