Can I really change my own happiness or is it fixed?

You have far more room to change it than you have been told. The researchers who study this found that a real chunk of your happiness comes from things you actually control: changes in what you do day to day, changes in your skill set, even changes in what you earn per hour. Those are buttons you can push. So push them on purpose. Sharpen the skills that let you do more good work for patients. Restructure your day around the procedures that give you flow. Fix the no-brainer drains in your environment. None of this is about waiting to feel lucky. It is about arranging your work so the conditions that produce happiness show up more often. The dentist who treats happiness as something to engineer, not wait for, ends up with a lot more of it.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
