Can a dental practice ever achieve 100% case acceptance with the right system?
No. The claim that ‘every patient can afford comprehensive care if they want it enough’ is a thing said from podiums and printed in trade press. It is also not true. Patient mix, financial reality, family decision dynamics, and timing all influence acceptance. The realistic ceiling for cases over $10,000 in treatment is 35 to 70 percent when the practice runs a disciplined ethical selling system. Above 70 percent and you are likely either discounting heavily or only seeing patients pre-qualified by a tight referral funnel. The aspiration of 100 percent is not just unrealistic, it is harmful because it sets the team up for failure and discounting cycles. Aim for the achievable range and track it honestly.
