What should be included in a dental implant case report?

Think of it as the patient’s story told back to them with proof. Start with before and after imaging, that carries enormous weight. Then put in the subjective complaints in the patient’s own words, followed by your objective clinical findings, with simple photos and x-rays they can actually read. List the options, no more than four and usually three. Show example photos of each option so they can see the result, not just imagine it. Then build in your behavioral selling tools, the expectations you want to set, expiration dates on fees, and any special discounts. Finally, document that the patient sat with you, heard the consequences of acting and of doing nothing, and acknowledged them. That last piece protects you and commits them. Each item is doing a job, so do not skip any of them.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
