Does how a dentist dresses affect whether patients accept treatment?

More than you’d want to admit. Business attire has been shown to affect compliance, getting the yes, by as much as 350 percent in studies going back to the 1950s. Standards have loosened over the last fifty years, sure, but for professional services dress still carries weight. Think about it plainly. You’re asking the patient to buy beauty and dental health. If you and your staff don’t look the part, why would they believe you can deliver it? Doctors who don’t look professional get less respect in their own work environment, and that bleeds into the operatory. The day my members start looking the part is usually the day they start getting the fees they deserve. Dress like the expert you’re asking the patient to trust.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
