How can patients who don’t accept treatment still help my practice?

They refer. This surprises dentists, but it shouldn’t. If your sales process is genuinely good, if the call was guided, the consult was respectful, and the person felt helped rather than sold, then even someone who walks away without treatment leaves with a strong impression. You stood out from every other office they touched. People talk. The patient who couldn’t afford the case this year tells a coworker who can. The one who wasn’t ready sends a relative who is. That’s why I push so hard on running a clean, consistent process for everyone, not just the buyers. You never know which non-buyer is sitting next to your next big case at dinner. Treat the experience as the product. The referrals follow people who felt respected, win or lose.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
