Why do you say a dentist must be a painless dentist before anything else?

Because pain is the one thing that quietly undoes all your other work. You can have flawless advertising, a great location, and a polished case presentation, and none of it survives a patient who leaves your chair hurting. People do not return to someone who inflicts pain on them, and they tell others. In this day and age there is genuinely no reason not to be painless, the techniques and tools exist. Notice that this is not about changing how you work clinically in some grand way, it is one specific sticking point that determines whether a patient ever lets you treat them again. So before you tune your selling, make sure the basic experience does not betray it. Be honest about whether your patients leave comfortable. If they do not, fix that first, because everything else you sell rests on it.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
