Should I get a master testimonial release from patients?
Yes, and get one that covers audio, video, and written all at once, because the patient who gives you a great quote today may agree to a video next year. A single broad release means you actually own the rights to use that testimonial however it makes sense later, instead of going back hat in hand for a new signature every time you change format. I’ve watched dentists collect a wonderful patient story and then sit on it for years, too nervous about consent to ever post it. That hesitation costs you the most persuasive marketing you’ll ever have, real people describing real results. Put a proper multi-format release in your standard intake or post-treatment paperwork, have it reviewed once, and from then on every testimonial you gather is yours to use cleanly.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
