How do I get patients emotionally engaged before presenting treatment?

Stop opening with the diagnosis. Patients commit emotionally first and rationalize second, so your early moves should aim at how their life changes when the problem is gone, not at the clinical detail. Get them picturing eating, smiling, and feeling normal again. Get them attached to that result as something genuinely good for them. Only after that emotional attachment is in place does the intellectual part land, where they confirm with logic the decision their gut already made. That is the entire flow: engage the emotion, build the attachment, then help them commit both emotionally and intellectually. Run it in that order on purpose. If you find yourself reaching for radiographs and treatment codes in the first few minutes, you have already lost the thread.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
