A patient I presented to a year ago wants to come back. How should I handle it?

Do not just rush back in and try to close the old case. If real time has passed, things have changed, and acting like they have not is a mistake. Reassess the clinical picture and update the complete dental physical. It may not be the full exam, but roll through quickly to see what is the same and what is not. Then update the fee range, because you are back to numbers and buying. Here is the part dentists miss. Your own thinking will have changed too. At a two year mark you see cases differently, because anyone serious about this field never stops learning. The patient has changed what they want as well. So present a revised case built for who they are now, not a recycled pitch from last year.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
