What’s the difference between real coaching and just being given information?

Real coaching tells you what to do next in your specific situation. Information dumping hands you a pile and wishes you luck. The word coaching gets used promiscuously these days, and a lot of it is just data dressed up in a nicer outfit. I learned this watching skilled sellers in other industries make fortunes by overwhelming people and then disappearing. The tell is simple. Good coaching asks you questions before it gives answers. Thomas Edison said if he had an hour to solve a problem he would spend fifty-five minutes on the right questions and five on the answer. That is the standard. If someone is talking at you nonstop and never asking about your practice, your numbers, your patients, you are being sold to, not coached. Demand the questions. The answers only matter once they are aimed at your reality.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
