How does reciprocity influence whether a patient accepts treatment?

It works on your patients constantly, whether you set it up or not. Reciprocity is the deep human pull to give back when someone gives to us first. When you hand a patient genuine value up front, real time, a thorough free consult, useful information they actually wanted, you create a quiet sense that they owe you fair consideration in return. That is not manipulation. It is how human beings have operated for as long as we have lived in groups. The mistake is being unaware of it, because then you give nothing of value early and wonder why patients feel no connection to you. Decide on purpose what you give first, and give something real. The patient who feels you invested in them listens differently when you present the case.

If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
