Why should I provide a written case report at the end of the presentation?
Because no patient remembers everything that happened in that room, and the ones who try to recall it for their spouse get it wrong. So you tell them plainly: a lot went on today, there’s no way you’ll hold all of it, so here’s a case report, and your financial coordinator will walk you through it. The report carries your recommendations, the options, the photos, and the fees out of the room intact, in your words rather than the patient’s fuzzy memory. It’s also the natural handoff point to the financial coordinator and the place you preempt the friends-and-family conversations to come. A patient leaving with a clear written record is a patient who can defend the decision at home. Send them out with the document, not just a head full of half-remembered slides.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
