Do I need a trained phone person to sell consultations?
Yes, and training means more than handing someone a script to read off a phone slip. That is not training. Even with proven tools in front of them, it takes real coaching to get this skill into someone who has never done it. You can hire people who are already good at taking money over the phone, but for most practices they will not work at the rates you are used to paying for phone support. Here is the practical upside of going free or very low cost: selling something that is free or almost free over the phone is far easier than getting a credit card for a big amount. So you can train someone up to that skill faster. Either way, invest in the person, coach them, and retain them. The phone is your front door, and an untrained front door costs you cases every single day.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
