What is fee framing and why does it matter before a financial visit?
Fee framing is the work you do before the patient ever hears the number, so the number lands in the right context instead of as a shock. You set it up while you prepare for the separate financial visit. The patient finishes at the front, you frame the fee, and then they come back a few days later for the focused money conversation. That little gap is deliberate. It gives the patient time to settle and it lets you do the framing properly. Why bother? Because a fee with no frame is just a price, and a price with nothing around it invites comparison shopping and sticker shock. A framed fee carries meaning, the why behind the number and what it buys over a lifetime. Even single-tooth treatment has fee ranges worth framing. Never let a number land cold. Frame it first, then present it.
