Should I hand my big case treatment plan to the patient to take home?
Hand it over, but only in person. I never mail the written case report and I never email it. The whole value of that document lives in the face to face meeting where you walk through it together and answer the patient sitting in front of you. A document that arrives in an inbox is just paper. It gets skimmed, forwarded to a spouse who wasn’t there, compared on price, and the meaning you built drains out of it. So produce one clean reference copy, present it, write the agreed fee next to the chosen option right there at the table, and then send a copy home. Think of the document as a souvenir of a conversation, not the conversation itself. If you find yourself emailing plans to save a trip, you are quietly throwing away the part that actually closes large cases.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
