What time of day should dentists schedule big case presentations?
Early. Or right after lunch. Never at the end of the day. As the hours pass, people burn through their good judgment, and by late afternoon a patient is running on fumes while weighing a major decision. This is decision fatigue, and it does not work in your favor. The larger the case, the more it matters, because a big treatment plan demands real energy reserves to consider properly. There is also a fairness angle here. Asking someone to commit to a life-changing case while they are mentally depleted isn’t ethical, even if it might close faster. So look at your schedule. Stack your biggest presentations in the morning, or just after the patient has eaten and gotten a second wind. Give them their best brain, not your most convenient slot.
