How do you get a caller to share their information when they won’t book an appointment?
Offer them something valuable enough that handing over their details feels like a fair trade. Plenty of callers aren’t ready to schedule, and if you push for the appointment and get nothing, you’ve lost them completely. So flip it. Instead of the booking, ask for the information, and give them a reason. I use what I call a big and outrageous packet, a genuinely useful piece you mail them about their options and your practice. It’s enticing enough that people willingly give up their name and address to receive it. Now you’re not empty-handed. You have someone to follow up with, and a relationship that can warm up over months. People buy from who they know, like, and trust, and that trust often starts before they ever sit in your chair. Always have a fallback offer for the caller who says no to scheduling.
