Does buying case-acceptance technology actually increase dental case acceptance?
Rarely. The dental trade-show aisles are packed with software, hardware, and educational widgets promising case-acceptance miracles. Most of them deliver nothing once they arrive at the practice. The promise is that you push play and the patient is hypnotized into saying yes. The reality is that selling requires a structured human process, and no piece of technology replaces that process. Many cone-beam manufacturers, chairside milling system vendors, and laser companies wrap ‘case acceptance’ language around their pitches because it sells equipment. The equipment then sits at half utilization while the practice still struggles to close cases. Build the selling system first. Add technology second, only where it demonstrably reduces complexity for the patient.
