How do I explain clinical findings to patients without confusing them?
Write the objective findings the way you would explain them to a smart friend who never went to dental school. This is where you outshine every other practice in town, because what most patients get elsewhere is a wall of jargon, too many options, and a printout that needs a dictionary. I summarize what I see with the teeth, the gums, the bone, and any niche-specific issue, in plain language. For one patient that was simply this. You are missing all your teeth but nine, the nine you have are savable, your bone still has enough structure to support implants, and here is what happens if we let it keep deteriorating. No codes, no Latin, nothing that makes him feel stupid. Confusion does not sell. Clarity does. Strip every sentence down until anyone could read it and understand their own mouth.
If the answers you are finding here resonate with you, my team and I work with a small group of clients each year. The next step is a complimentary Discovery Consultation and Practice Review with Dr. McAnally.
